THE FARM
5 kms to Spoleto central, Rome – 1 hour. Very easy access to all the Umbria hotspots….Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi (just up the road), Spello, Montefalco, Gubbio, Bevagna etc – all awesomely beautiful drives.

Traditional farming methods used on this farm that are as old as time itself.
Organic farming at its best, using the sun, the moon and the stars.
There are no animals on the farm.
Poreta Bio Farm grows flowers (for honey), 3 types of bean, chick peas, barley, blackberries, raspberries, olives and grapes, employing ONLY the natural rhythms of the universe. All rather fascinating stuff.
Olive oil is produced on the farm.
The farm has been using these traditional methods for 400 years!
TRANQUILITY – but you can make NOISE!!
Totally tranquil environment. The only sounds are those of the countryside….birdsong and lots of it!
However, if you’re not into meditation, you can make as much noise as you like – shout, scream and play loud music at full volume. No neighbors!
The owners ONLY requirement is you respect their property!
THE ACCOMMODATION – THE 2 SUITES ARE NEVER BOOKED SEPARATELY
The 2 suites are only ever booked to the SAME party. This ensures exclusivity of the pool.

The farm is a series of what were once farm cottages.
With the exception of the holiday rental accommodation, these ex farm cottages now house a museum of traditional farm equipment and areas for the biological products, all grown on the farm, prepared for distribution in the locality to shops and restaurants.
The holiday rental accommodation consists of 2 elegant suites, each with 2 double bedrooms, 1 kitchen/diner and at least 1 bathroom.
Each of the 3 bathrooms has a shower – no tub.
Each of the 2 kitchens is fully fitted with a hob, oven, fridge-freezer etc.
Each suite sleeps 4 persons.
Each suite has 2 double bedrooms.
There are 4 double bedrooms in total, 2 of which contain twin beds that can be joined by request.
A total of 8 persons can be accommodated in both suites.
Both suites have their own independent entrance.
One suite is on the ground floor. The other is to the side of it and on the upper floor.
Each is totally independent of the other.
A washing machine + ironing facilities are located in a wash room that is independently located nearby.
The owner and his wife live in another part of this huge farm and have their own private outside areas. You cannot see them and they cannot see you.
The gardens surrounding you and the pool are exclusively yours.

WALK TO SAN GIACOMO…
It is 1 km to San Giacomo, about a 10 mins walk, through sensational countryside….poppy and sunflower fields, olive groves and vineyards.
In San Giacomo, you will find a small shopping centre with all the usual amenities.
GUIDED TOURS
A WALK IN TO THE PALE’S FALLS: a fascinating easy walking discovering the secret beauty of the Falls of Menotre River, completely immersed in a flourishing vegetation and green magical wood (25′ driving from Spoleto)
A WALK IN THE MAJESTIC MARMORE WATERFALLS: an exciting 2-hours excursion admiring the highest falls in Europe with a walk into the Parco Fluviale del Nera for an unbelievable experience of the powerful falling of the Velino river into Nera River. The several pathways will bring visitors to admire many fascinating panorama of the waterfalls
HIKING THE SACRED FOREST OF MONTELUCO: an half-day hiking the sacred mountain of Spoleto, Monteluco. Following the ancient hermits pathway, visitors will discover the long-living holiness of the mountain since the pre-Roman Age. After an hour walk we will reach the top and we will rest for a cappuccino and restroom then we will proceed visiting the Sacred wood and its natural caves of early Christian hermits, together with the St. Francis Convent of 1218. (3-hours tour)
WINE AND OLIVE OIL EXPERIENCE: a full-day tour dedicated to the tasting of the best Umbrian wine and olive-oil production, with a walk in Montefalco, considered the Wine Capital of Umbria and visiting a local winery, cellar visit and beautiful pairing lunch in the cellar, tasting Grechetto, Rosso di Montefalco, Sagrantino di Montefalco and local traditional food – on the way back stop in a local olive mill discovering the secrets of the Gold of Umbria with a nice bruschetta tasting.

| We travel to Italy often, and have stayed in many apartments, b&bs, agriturismi… This is one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! We stayed a week with our two children in the downstairs apartment. The rooms are spacious, the setting is beautiful, the location is convenient, and the hosts couldn’t have welcomed us more warmly. Everything you can imagine was provided: a breakfast pie, oil produced by the farm, fresh eggs… and more! We spent the days exploring the surrounding area, and nights eating outside and relaxing in the garden. Highly recommended!! | |
