Cancellation policy

IN PROCEEDING WITH A BOOKING, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING :

EXCEPT FOR RUBBIANO HOUSE AND STRETTURA CASTLE :
In the event of a cancellation prior to 6 weeks before the arrival time or a no-show, either I will retain the 25% deposit or debit your card for 25% of the total to pay, as a cancellation fee, to be reimbursed or partly reimbursed if the period or part of the period cancelled is re-booked, less costs eg bank costs and if re-booked at a discounted rate. 

If the cancellation occurs within the 6 week period, then, there will be no reimbursement and I will either retain the deposit or debit your card.

HOWEVER, IF YOU PAY A CANCELLATION FEE, THEN, YOU CAN USE 50% OF WHAT YOU HAVE PAID AS A CREDIT TOWARDS A FUTURE BOOKING!

If you have paid more than 25% of the amount due, then, I will return the money over and above the 25% paid by you, unconditionally. Or, you can opt for me to retain the surplus and I will increase it by 5%, the total of which can be used against a future booking made by you.

Please note the following variations to the cancellation policy :

1.         if you have paid a reduced rate -

In this case, the amount debited from your card and/or retained would be determined by how much the period you have booked has been reduced ie the reduction would be taken into account, pro-rata, when calculating the refund

2.         if you have paid a non-refundable deposit of 25%

3.         if you have started your stay with us and have cut short your stay through no fault or negligence on our part –

In this case, we do not offer a refund automatically, although we may compensate you, were we to book “your period” after you have left.    

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU LEAVE EARLY FOR REASONS THAT ARE RELATED TO PROBLEMS THAT ARE CAUSED BY US AND WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO OFFER YOU ALTERNATIVE SUITABLE ACCOMMODATION, THEN, WE WILL REFUND YOU FOR THE REMAINING PERIOD OF YOUR BOOKED DATES.  TO DATE, THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED AND WE TRUST THAT IT NEVER WILL !!!!

To secure a booking at either Rubbiano House or Stettura Castle, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking.
