Spoleto Sunday Market - 2nd Sunday of each month.....

A vibrant, colourful affair, where all the Spoletini, as well as Italians from neighbouring cities, villages and towns, congregate in each of the piazzas, sipping prosecco, downing espressos and eyeing each other up, a market merely an excuse for yet another get-together. But, for those of you who yearn to find hidden treasures, here it is ! And, what a marvellous day out. The restaurants, gelaterias and bars all there to offer respite, once you have explored every nook and cranny, meandering by stalls selling hand-bags, shoes, spices, a hundred types of honey to outsize knickers and ornate curtains, an authentic Italian market place, amid the cobbled, arched and higgledy-piggledy lanes between Piazza Mercato and Piazza Liberta.
